Misty 2016/2017 Ref Sheet

Misty is a cheerful fox that is always ready for adventures and meeting new things. She's curious, warm hearted and can be easily excited.
She loves traveling and goes hiking quite often, she feels that with every experience she gets to know more about herself. For her, the world is filled with different ideas ready to be experienced, and she wants to live them intensely.
The new experiences, ideas and excitement is what fuels her warm heart and carries her through the days with a characteristic spark in her eyes.

Her temperament is usually cheerful and easy-going, mind full of energy and racing with various ideas and connections. She can jump from one subject to another easily, and somehow they have a connection for her, be it a memory, a previous experience or just a "what if" moment. She's found of the unusual, the exciting, the unfold of ideas that come from the smallest sparks. 

She's impulsive and playful, even endearing. Tries her best to be open-minded and understanding, but can't help but feel a need to be understood in her own dreams, which she doesn't share with everyone but her closest friends. She's very protective of those few and knows that they won't judge her by her flaws, but will do what they can to help her. She may seem enthusiastic and easy going with new 'people', but there's a fine line between acquaintances and true friends, the ones that she cares very deeply about.

For more careless she can be, she may find herself reserved around unknown ones, behaving more relaxed around familiar faces and sharing more feelings and thoughts without the uneasiness of being badly judged or misunderstood.
Her biggest fears are loneliness and rejection. She can't help but worry about how others perceive her, and may become very nervous at places that she feels unwelcome. 

She gets a little upset when her plans go wrong in a way she doesn't expect, and will try to solve it analysing all possible outcomes. May get peevish if forced to do something she really dislikes. A big stress factor is monotony: She can't stand the feeling of stagnation, and wants to believe that most things always change, sooner or later.

Misty has a great admiration for humans, she likes to get to know about their knowledge, different cultures, anatomy and anything regarding them. In an island completely prived from human interference, she counteracts common opinions with her curiosity and optimism. She is very aware of the damage that some humans cause to the environment and the world, and that the island of Ahia is a true refugee to many rare magical beings, but that doesn't stop her from wanting to know more about humanity. She believes that humans can and do good, and other critters shouldn't judge their whole species based on the actions of few individuals.
Misty wishes to meet a human someday, and see with her very eyes the engines and creations that this smart species can do.

Unfortunately, Misty lost the memories of her early childhood and can't remember anything about her past, origins, her parents or the place she came from. The cause of this loss is unknown, and she is willing to do everything in her reach to rediscover these memories. This is, deep down, one of the reasons of her many travels. She wants to get to know every place of the island to try and remember more about her past, her family and hopefully discover her origins. One of her lifegoals is, hopefully, find her parents again.
From time to time Misty has dreams in a peculiar dream realm, she finds herself in an empty place full of light spots that resemble stars. Every time a star comes to her and surrounds her she wakes up with memories of her past, as if they were 'recovered'. Needless to say Misty feels very gifted and enthusiastic every time these dreams happen, and she looks forward to them a lot, taking care to register every little detail of each of them.

Misty is diagnosed with an unhealthy fear of lighting and thunder (astraphobia), and has to avoid being out during storms to prevent panic attacks. In which the poor fox doesn't know how to hide from the loud, appalling sounds and runs around desperately, which can cause accidents. Recently and thankfully, she's learned to cope this fear with the help of her friends. She also believes that this phobia comes from her puppyhood, as she can't remember when she started fearing it or why.

Misty's feather necklace is one of the few things she remembers from her puppyhood, she got it from a bird on her first hunt, and wore it since then. This collar means so much for her, as it brings reassuring memories that she's capable of doing many things when she's determined, no matter how hard it seems.
Another memorable item is her collar with a magical blue crystal, which gives her a pair of magical wings, that can appear and disappear at her will. She is able to fly with them, and she brings this crystal with her in many adventures.
When hiking Misty wears a bag to store food and other belongings. Curiously, she got it in a trade with a fennec fox at a vilage she visited other time, and it's quite useful for her now.
